Three Mo’ Tenors joins the world in mourning the loss of one of the great chefs, philanthropists and humanitarians, Charlie Trotter.
We got the extraordinary Charlie Trotter treatment when, during our two week run at Chicago’s Oriental Theatre our cast and crew were his special guests at his name-sake restaurant in Lincoln Park. Charlie was known for creating exquisite dishes that were never the same twice. For Charlie the culinary artist, food was like improvisational jazz – each iteration expressed subtle differences and elegant harmonies.
We enjoyed dish after delightful dish – paired with wines Charlie personally selected.
Charlie was a great chef who trained and influenced a generation of great chefs.
He was a friend to many and we will miss him.
